This recipe isn’t a quick one. It takes a bit of time, but the extra steps to infuse the milk to make the béchamel sauce is well worth it and makes a big difference !
I will definitely be making this one before the baby arrives, as this is a fantastic freezer meal. All you need to do is just defrost and you can either reheat in the microwave or the oven.
You can always change up the meat to suit taste. In the past I have substituted beef for lamb and it still taste great. I also like to add some extra herbs when I’m cooking the sauce down. I will also hide some spinach leaves and fresh basil into the sauce.
