When you get married, you realise how much more expensive everything is as soon as you drop the word wedding. I loved my wedding day, and it is still one of the best days of my life, however I can’t say I loved every minute of the planning and organisation that goes into it.
I thought that was it, until we got pregnant and I have since realised that baby shops are a whole new world where your cash can just disappear before your eyes !
Here are some of the things we picked out for our little girl…
So since Shrove Tuesday, I have been craving pancakes. Before becoming pregnant, I never used to really like anything sweet and was most definitely more of a savoury girl. Even though I still prefer savoury food, I’m finding that I do have the random craving for something sweet more often now.
I got this recipe from my husband’s grandma and I am pretty sure she sourced it from Nigella and as we all know, Nigella never disappoints !
As I get closer to my due date, you’d think that I would start to get worried about the birth. What I have in fact found is that I am actually more stressed about the type of parent I am going to be and how my child will turn out.
In this thinking I decided to read a book that went into an interesting parenting style.
The book is titled Battle hymn of the tiger mother, written by Amy Chua.
Ive been super busy at work lately with Corporate plan budgets due not in the too distant future…. around about the same time my baby is due haha. Ive been trying to get as much work as I can done before I say goodbye to the corporate world for a year.
I finished work and got home with a bit more to do. Despite being tired, I still wanted something quick and healthy for dinner. I was able to prepare this meal whilst my husband was at the gym and while I finished off some work.
I love carbs ! Combined with meat, I’m a happy girl!
This recipe I came across through a friend on Taste.com
